  • 累计投入五千多万用于实验室基础建设。目前,爱尔眼科研究所三层楼,场地面积 5040 平方米,其中实验室面积 2397 平方米,具有实验动物中心,生物样本库,分子生物实验平台、蛋白/基因检测分析平台,细胞生物实验平台、细胞实验影像/功能平台等。 

  • 爱尔眼科实验动物中心

    爱尔眼科研究所实验动物中心是研究所核心科研支撑平台之一。中心严格遵循国家《实验动物管理条例》《实验动物质量管理办法》及《实验动物环境及设施》等标准设计建设,集标准化动物饲养、专业化实验操作、精准化功能检测于一体,为眼科临床前研究和基础科研提供全流程、可追溯的技术支撑。

    中心受湖南省科学技术厅实验动物管理办公室监管,已取得其颁发的《实验动物使用许可证》(许可证号:SYXK(湘)2023-0004),于 2023 年 6 月正式投入运行。中心动物福利伦理委员会已在湖南省区域科技伦理审查中心完成备案,所有动物实验均经伦理审查批准后实施。爱尔眼科研究所实验动物中心是湖南省实验动物学会理事单位,其规范化运营、高标准管理及突出的科研支撑服务能力多次获得上级单位嘉奖与肯定。

    设施涵盖普通清洁级和无特定病原体级(SPF 级)实验动物饲养与实验专区,配套 IVC 独立通气笼具及智能环境调控管理系统,对温度、湿度、压差等关键实验参数实行全自动精准控制、数据自动采集与存储,确保环境条件持续符合国家标准。从硬件与管理层面保障实验结果的一致性、稳定性与可重复性。

    中心已搭建全流程实验动物管理系统,覆盖项目管理、实验人员培训、伦理申请、动物采购、饲养、使用、处置等全生命周期,实现实验动物全流程数字化管控与合规溯源,全面契合实验动物管理规范及科技伦理相关要求。

    中心设三大功能区域:

    A 区 — 屏障环境SPF级动物饲养区:专业承接转基因鼠、免疫缺陷鼠及常规 SPF 级大小鼠的标准化饲养,保障实验动物品质。

    B 区 — 普通环境动物实验区:可开展兔、豚鼠等实验动物的相关科学研究。

    C 区 — 屏障环境功能检测区:配备国际先进的动物影像、功能及行为学检测设备,涵盖小动物眼电生理诊断系统眼底成像系统(眼底彩照、FFA、OCT)、全自动大鼠视觉能力测量系统小动物代谢与行为监测系统Clocklab 生物节律采集分析系统新型大小鼠睡眠剥夺仪、以及动物实验跑台、黑白箱、水迷宫等专业设备,支撑高精度眼科相关功能检测与行为学研究。

    中心将持续完善质量管理体系,确保实验动物工作合规、安全、高效,为产出高质量、可转化的眼科科研成果提供坚实保障。

    Aier Laboratory Animal Resource Center

    The Laboratory Animal Resource Center of Aier Eye Institute is one of the core research support platforms. The center has been designed and constructed in strict accordance with national regulations including the Regulations on the Administration of Laboratory Animals, Laboratory Animal – Environment and Facilities and the Measures for the Quality Management of Laboratory Animals.  It integrates standardized animal husbandry, specialized experimental procedures, and precise functional testing, providing end‑to‑end, traceable technical support for ophthalmic preclinical research and basic science.

    The center operates under the supervision of the issued by the Laboratory Animal Management Office of the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province and holds a "Laboratory Animal Use Permit" (Permit No: SYXK()2023-0004) issued by the office. It officially opened in June 2023. The center’s Animal Welfare and Ethics Committee has been registered with the Hunan Regional Science and Technology Ethics Review Center, and all animal experiments are conducted only after ethical approval. The center is a governing member of the Laboratory Animal Science Society of Hunan, and its operational management, facility maintenance, and research support capabilities have been consistently recognized by the supervisory authorities.

    The facility includes dedicated areas for conventional clean-grade (non-SPF) and specific pathogen‑free (SPF) laboratory animal housing and experimentation. It is equipped with an IVC (Individually Ventilated Cage) system and an intelligent environmental control and monitoring system that automated regulates key parameters such as temperature, humidity, and differential pressure, with automatic data acquisition and storage. This ensures that environmental conditions continuously meet national standards. Regular quality control procedures – including environmental testing, microbiological monitoring, and verification of feed and bedding quality – are in place to ensure reliability, stability, and reproducibility of experimental results.

    A comprehensive digital management system covers the entire life cycle of laboratory animals, including project management, personnel training, ethics application, animal procurement, housing, use, and disposition. The system ensures full data traceability and regulatory compliance, fully aligning with laboratory animal management standards and ethical requirements.

    The center comprises three functional areas:

    Zone A – Barrier-Protected SPF Animal Housing Area. Dedicated to standardized housing of transgenic mice, immunodeficient mice, and conventional SPF‑grade rats and mice, ensuring high‑quality experimental animals.

    Zone B – Conventional Animal Housing and Experimentation Area. Supports scientific research using rabbits, guinea pigs, and other laboratory animals under conventional housing conditions.

    Zone C – Barrier-Protected Functional Testing Area. Equipped with advanced animal imaging, functional and behavioral testing systems, including small animal electrophysiological diagnostics for the eye, fundus imaging systems (fundus photography, FFA, OCT), fully automated rat visual ability measurement system, small animal metabolic and behavioral monitoring system, Clocklab circadian rhythm acquisition and analysis system, novel sleep deprivation apparatus for rats and mice, as well as an animal treadmill, light/dark box, Morris water maze, and other specialized equipment to support high‑precision ophthalmic functional assays and behavioral research.

    The center will continue to improve its quality management system to ensure that all laboratory animal activities are conducted in a compliant, safe, and efficient manner, providing a solid foundation for producing high‑quality and translatable ophthalmic research outcomes.

  • 爱尔眼科生物样本库成立于2023年,是爱尔眼科研究所的核心基础设施平台与眼科研究的重要基础资源。2023年12月,样本库正式获批国家人类遗传资源保藏行政许可(国科人遗审字﹝2023﹞BC0080号,图1)。依托研究所国际先进的实验与研究平台,充分整合爱尔眼科医院丰富的临床样本资源与眼科大数据。旨在为眼科学与视觉科学的基础研究、临床研究及转化医学研究,提供系统、坚实且高质量的资源保障。

    爱尔眼科生物样本库采用“分布式设计、标准化管理、数字化融合”的建设理念,在全国主要城市及区域的爱尔眼科医院及中心建立“一库多站”模式。通过对接爱尔眼科自主开发的医疗信息系统(AHIS、ALIS和AMER),实现全国范围内生物样本与临床数据的互通互联;在严格保障患者隐私前提下,实现遗传资源全流程可控、可管、可溯源。

    在持续积累建库经验、完善运行体系的同时,样本库积极参与行业学术交流与协作,已成为多家国家级行业组织的成员单位,并顺利通过中国医药生物技术协会组织样本库分会组织的全国生物样本库能力验证,在样本采集、处理、存储及质控等关键环节达到行业领先水平。

     

    Aier Eye Biobank, established in 2023 as a core infrastructure platform of the Aier Eye Institute, serves as a foundational resource for ophthalmic research. In December 2023, it obtained the National Administrative Permit for the Preservation of Human Genetic Resources (Approval No. [2023] BC0080). By leveraging the institute’s internationally advanced experimental and research platform, the biobank integrates extensive clinical biospecimens and large-scale ophthalmic healthcare data collected across the Aier Eye Hospital network. It is designed to provide robust and systematic, high-quality resource support for basic research, clinical studies, and translational research in ophthalmology and vision science

    The Aier Eye Biobank operates under a “Distributed Design, Standardized Management, and Digital Integration” framework, adopting a “one biobank with multiple stations” structure across Aier Eye Hospitals and key regional centers in China. This structure ensures nationwide interoperability, full data traceability, and rigorous privacy protection through seamless integration with Aier’s proprietary hospital information systems (AHIS, ALIS, and AEMR).

    While continuously accumulating biobank construction experience and refining operational systems, the biobank actively participates in academic exchanges and collaborations within the industry. It has become a member unit of multiple national-level industry organizations and successfully passed the National Biobank Proficiency Testing organized by the BioBank Branch of the China Medicinal Biotechnology Association, achieving industry-leading standards in key processes including sample collection, processing, storage, and quality control.
